The Dream Map (2014-15) is a 30″ x 22″ pen, ink and watercolor drawing that attempts to catalog in geography the collective wanderings of Max Razdow and Jesse Bransford over the course of the Veil of Dreams. The map uses personal, but often consistent, dream landscapes from the Veil of Dreams as well as the diagrammatic cosmology of the Norse cosmology to attempt to locate general idioms in at the intersection of dream and myth. The Map was inspected by Max Razdow for a panel discussion with Jesse Bransford, Lynn Maliszewski and Pam Grossman during the V.o.D. exhibition at IDIO Gallery in 2015, and several key “overlay” images were generated for that talk, also included here. |
