The Eastern Tower

There are two crossed arms,
One is a crab claw,
One is holding a star,
They are asking who we are.

The Eastern Tower’s where we climb
when we want to see the light.
And we’ve opened up our eyes,
To the inky, snaky sky.

There’s a woman in the waves
She knows nothing can be saved
And the fallen angel’s here
And the panther’s drawing near.

There’s a tower in the sky,
it is where we go to cry.
And we’ve climbed ourselves so high,
To the inky, snaky sky.

There’s a looming tidal wave
and maybe no one is safe
But we’ve looked at every way
And the sky will be repaid.

The Eastern Tower’s where we climb
When we’ve opened up our eyes.
And we look into the sky
To the inky, snaky sky.

There’s a ladder of two snakes
you cannot make a mistake
Climb the tower to the sky
The Eastern Tower to the sky.

The Southern Well

Oh where do we go when the night has come?
Down to the Southern Well, at the base of the great wall.

And where do we go when sleep has found our bed?
Down to the Southern Well, where the wicked women have fled.

Oh where do we go when the knights have called us liars?
Go to the Southern Well, where the serpents turn to fire.

And what’s down there where the water runs from steel?
That’s where the women drink from horns with heads of leaves!

And what is down there where the Norns they take their drink?
No one can ever tell, not you nor me I think.

And what is down there at the foot of the southern wall?
That’s where the waters run as the knights they watch it all!

And where do I go when the day has turned to night?
(the wind answers)

I’ve been sifting seeds for the snakes since I was young.
You’ve been making wine from the serpent’s lashing tongues.

And where do I go no when the day is done?
Go to the Southern Well, make that wine from their lashing tongues.

The Western Tower

Time to go home, here in Log Town
Up to my room, high off the ground.
I’ve got a thread, and a dog mask.
Connected to you, as the sun sets.

I can’t see you, you are too far
Past the valley, where no one can go
I can’t see you, I can’t see you
But still I know, But still I know.

Triangles, squares and circles too
Around the necks of birds like you
You hold the shadow of the Tower true
From the moon-bowl’s water, I go through.
I go through.

There in the valley, down below
There are two men with flashlights low.
One’s got a 1 one’s got an 0.
Protecting the walls of the city you know.
(But are they really?)

The Northern Breach

Do you have a crystal ball?
Can you see the future dear?
I am sleeping all my days away in here, in here, in here.
In the Northern part of town, where the icy river flows
And the oil always spills in the river on your toes, on your toes, on your toes.

And the Golem he does lie
In the river, by the stones
He was made from that old wall where the icy river flows.
And they split the wall in two, and the Golem: rose him up.
And they looked at all the ways that he could drink our tears and run,
He would run, he would run, he would run, he would run.

O the mask of tears it sits in desert sands, in desert sands.
And the golem doesn’t know just what he planned, just what he planned.
Can you use your crystal ball to tell me everything you know?
Said that I’m asleep and waiting for the mask’s tears to flow.

Oh the Northern Breach, the Northern hole!
Can you look behind you now?
Oh the Northern Breach, the Northern wall
Where the mask of tears did fall
It did fall, it did fall, it did fall, it did fall, it did fall…
